THE LAST TRAIN

The last train that leaves Puigcerdà at 7 pm and leaves you in Ripoll or allows you to return to Barcelona is very interesting.

TRANSPORTATION TO THE VALLEYS

The buses that leave from Campdevànol are interesting, as are the weekday transports that leave from the end of the valleys.

RACK TRAIN

The Núria rack railway that leaves from Ribes de Freser and leaves you in Núria at 2000 meters.

SUMMER BREEZES

In summer the breezes and thermals can be very strong. Be careful!

EAST WIND AT LANDING

Be careful when landing! The winds can be stronger at lower altitudes. This is probably because it is colder and wetter, as the marina or air from the Empordà sea arrives, but in general the westerly wind accelerates at higher altitudes.

CONFLUENCES

It is very normal for breezes to converge in each valley from an east-west direction. This is because the valleys are east-west and the breezes coming from the Empordà plain collide with the anabatic breezes that rise through the Ter valley and turn west.

THE MARINADES

The best time to fly is in the spring, but in winter it is a very good place. In the summer the marinas come in very early, around 1pm, and they don't let you fly with thermals, as they sweep everything away and there are no eastern slopes to do a slope flight.

NORTH WIND

When you want to go north. Normally, there is more cover on the north side, and if there is a meteorological wind from the north, many times when you get a certain distance the north comes in and does not let you move forward.
